He attended the School of Art of Bari.

In 1981 he took a first-honours degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University " La Sapienza " of Rome.

From an early age, his artistic feelings led him to experiment with several imaging techniques from pencil drawing, watercolour, oil colours, acrylics but, at the end, he liked best the pure acrylic colours for their brightness and quick use.

His artistic research involved, for many years, issues related to the view of the city and the territory. He attempted to capture feelings through " Urban Abstractions" analysing deeply the magic energy that springs from the design of the city seen from above as well from below.

Now chaotic now explosive through manipulations, disintegrations and recompoditions of the fabric of the city representing the objective and subjective " experiences", in a sort of musicality of the colours, without indulging in any vogue.

In 2003 he approaches the world of Digital Painting and realizes immediately that the electronic medium can give a push to dream-like and metaphysical vision of his poetics. Thus it begins a sort of story of his own thought in a digital form that becomes exstraordinarily flexible, dramatically enlarging the territory of invention and creatività in which the work of art comes out.

That is the way that digital technologies gave to this artist, Ernesto Galizia, the innovative potential which produced that change which has transformed not only the medium but also the substance of his art.

At the moment he is considered one of the most interesting representatives on the world scene of the Digital Painting.

You can find his works in private collections in Italy and abroad and they are pubblished on the sector magazines.
